Fail Fast Fail Often

Surprise proposal shoot in Fort Worth with two graduate students turned partners <3

Failure. The bitterness of life. Most of us do everything we can to avoid the sting of failure, but why?

We train our muscles to failure, and what happens to them? We rehearse speeches in the mirror alone and fail, looking for what result? I take awful photographs sometimes and have to hear about them. Failure is an unavoidable facet of life. I believe our egos are what cause us to shy away from failure. Out of failure comes growth and wisdom. If performing an action simply made us more intelligent, we'd have no qualms. However, when there's potential to create a bruised ego or a knock on our confidence, we'd rather not deal with that action.

Thomas Edison said, "I have not failed; I've just found 10,000 ways that won't work." Failing will expand your skills and thus increase your confidence. I've personally contemplated rejecting work that was above my level of execution. However, in accepting these endeavors, sometimes I have come up short and been humbled. But, out of the failure, I've learned more than I've learned in 10 successful attempts, which is infinitely more valuable. So get out there, have fun, make mistakes, and ultimately become the best version of yourself!
